MAKING HER-STORY!!!
For the first time in Smithtown history, a little league team won the state title! This past weekend our St. James-Smithtown Little League Softball team from the 11 and under age group competed and won the Little League NY State Championship in Rochester. The team beat New City Little League to win the title. Of the 12 girls on the team, 10 attend school in the Smithtown Central School district. SUMMER OF SCIENCE!
Smithtown High School West research students are busy designing and conducting experiments during a four-week long research program at Brentwood High School. Under the guidance of Dr. Figueiredo, the students have tested the effects of nitrate ion and ammonium ion on algae growth and duckweed growth. INAUGURAL PAIGE KEELY GOLF CLASSIC A SUCCESS
"This community, they glued my family back together." Those are the words of Gina Keely, president of The Paige Elizabeth Keely foundation, and more importantly the mother of Paige Keely. Today Gina, with the help of friends hosted the inaugural Golf Classic and Dinner at the Nissequogue Golf Club. FIELD HOCKEY FUN AT SMITHTOWN BOOSTER CLUB CAMP
The Smithtown Booster Club field hockey camp wrapped up a great week of work at Smithtown High School East. Grades 3-12 learned from the very best as coaches and graduates from High School East & West taught the future stars. A HELPING HAND AT SMITHTOWN HIGH SCHOOL WEST
The Sill Pantry at Smithtown High School West will be open to the public each Monday, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will provide families an opportunity to pick up non-perishable food and toiletries.
